As we listed down the Off Page Optimization techniques earlier, now I have written a major On Page SEO Optimization techniques to get high Ranking search results easily. This two main optimization techniques when you follow you might rank easily in search engines.
SEO has a continuous change when you compare it from past 5 years, as such using old SEO techniques would harm your site. So please keep updating your SEO regularly. On Page SEO optimization will remain same after 10 years also because this is a basic operation done to your start up blog.
Title: Title should be catchy and should grab the traffic, but relevant and quality information is required to reduce your webpage bounce rate. Titles are meant for Viewers not for search engines (remind it), means using only keywords will not help you in getting rankings in SERPs, make the titles beautiful to get huge traffic. Title tags should always be used with h1 tags, so that search engine can recognize easily. One of the main aspects of On Page Optimization technique is using Perfect Keyword in Titles (H1 Tags). Long titles will not be helping you a lot, maximum of 70 chars can be detected by SERPs. Titles are one of the crucial aspects of On Page SEO Optimization and help you a lot in getting a huge traffic and increase in rankings too.
Meta Description Tag: The description what you write is most important here, as this should be relevant to your content and to the targeted keyword. Using KW in Meta description will also help you in bringing traffic (For Instance: As when people search for some technology gadgets, then they will also look at the description below the every title in the search page). Keywords should be added within the 156 characters of Meta description to get easily ranked in SERPs.
ALT Tags: These tags are very important for Images to rank in search engines’, optimizing the images brings lot of traffic to your site, without ALT tags your images are useless, post keywords in these tags will help you a lot. Note: SERPs can only identify the images with ALT text.
Keywords: KW targeting is also very important here; always does research and Test the Keywords to rank high. There are many tools to research KWs, as you guys know :p. Some of them are Google AdWords, Samurai, Free Keyword Tool researcher etc..,
The Structure of a URL: Optimizing permalinks plays a major role here; if you are using WordPress then you can use this structure to /%category%/postname% or /%postname% so the URL can be easily detected by search engines which contains Post Title KW. Note: Don’t use the permalink characters more than 60-70 words.
Content: As usual “Content is King”, use it to wisely rank top in SERPs. Write the article that should be evergreen and definitely this killer will bring traffic in huge to your site and natural backlinks. Research some of the articles which are not available for people and provide with complete quality means.
Interlinking Strategy: Interlinking helps you to reduce bounce rate and also you can transfer your page rank power to other pages and also to the home page. Note: So never forget to interlink with other related posts, which automatically improves inbound links and minimizes bounce rate.
Keyword Density: Check out the KW density of each page that you have used, as it should not cross more than 4%, if it crosses the limit then Google may put this page under Spam and if it continues in all pages of your website then you would be landed in the Google Sandbox, to recover your website use this Feedback form. So try to optimize the page with correct usage of KWs.
Sitemaps: Sitemaps are important to one who does perfect SEO, as this Sitemap gives the structure of blog to search engines so that web crawlers can easily crawl to all posts and pages. You need to submit your Sitemap in Google Webmasters.
Robtos.txt: Robots.txt helps to prevent web crawlers to move into unauthorized areas like Admin pages etc.., and also you can prevent duplicate content by using Robots.txt file.
